Targeting vascular pathologies, this personalized interventional device is fabricated via 4D printing technology. In response to the increasing prevalence of vascular stenosis and the complications often seen with traditional metal stents (such as restenosis), we developed two types of smart vascular stents with negative Poisson's ratio structures. These stents combine low surface coverage with high structural strength, offering distinct advantages including a high packing ratio, high specific stiffness, and fast recovery speed. By evolving from 'rigid support' to 'dynamic adaptation,' this technology offers a safer and highly biocompatible personalized solution for patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions.
